Jim Duffy Jim is the Director of Business Development for EPS Software & CODE Magazine. He is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for all the CODE divisions. He leads the CODE consulting sales and client-relationship management teams, proposes and develops new strategic partnerships, expands the visibility and presence of the CODE brand via social media and digital marketing initiatives, and helps establish CODE’s long-term business objectives. Jim is one of the first points of contact someone has with CODE and it’s his job to effectively explain who CODE is, what they do and ultimately how they can help customers achieve their business objectives. Before joining the CODE team Jim founded and ran a software developer training and consulting company (TakeNote Technologies) for over 25 years. He has extensive software development experience helping clients create business solutions with Microsoft enterprise technologies and he often presents CODE’s educational content at CODE Training events. Jim grew up in South Florida, earned a Management Information Systems (MIS) degree from Florida Atlantic University, is a diehard Miami Hurricanes fan and loves air-cooled VWs.
Riccardo Terrell Riccardo is an information systems and technology professional and architect specializing in software & systems development. He has 18 years experience delivering cost-effective technology solutions to today’s business environment. Riccardo is passionate about integrating advanced technology tools to increase internal efficiency, enhance work productivity, and reduce operating costs. Moreover he is passionate about functional programming. He is active in the F# community and started the DC F# user’s group. Riccardo believes in polyglot programming as a mechanism for finding the right tool for the job. He likes to describe himself as a functional guy living in an imperative world.
Jonathan Stewart Jonathan Stewart is a Business Intelligence Consultant specializing in data visualization, data warehousing and data management technologies. An advocate for educating others, Jonathan is a public speaker, teacher and blogger, continually teaching people about the Microsoft BI Stack. Since 2000, Jonathan has been working in the database field with industry leaders in healthcare, manufacturing, financial, insurance and federal, state and local governments. Jonathan maintains a blog at sqllocks.net. He is a frequent speaker at local, national and international events and is a board member of the Columbus SQL Server User Group. In his free time, Jonathan works with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning commission to help improve central Ohio.
Bryan Slatner Bryan Slatner has been working as a software developer for 27 years, with a passion for making the everyday lives of developers and users easier. His focus for the last 15 years has been writing line of business applications on the .NET stack. He also specializes in automating DevOps on the AWS platform.If he offers to cook you dinner, you should accept the invitation.
Angela Henry Angela is a DBA/BI Developer, living in High Point, NC and loves what she does. She's worked with all versions of SQL Server & worn all the hats that come with dealing with SQL Server throughout the years: developer, administrator, data architect and BI developer. She has her MSCE: Business Intelligence and is a Data Platform MVP. She is also the chapter leader for the PASS Triad SQL User Group in Greensboro, NC. In her spare time you can probably find her in or at the pool, she's an avid US Masters Swimmer, Coach and Instructor.
David Crook David Crook is the President, CEO and Founder of Easy Stock Investor and is the lead engineer and architect for this project. Additionally, he has 8 years of hands on experience building intelligence solutions for the largest companies in the world. Many of these solutions are what ensure crops have proper nutrient levels, ensure train tracks remain operational, analyze brain scans for anomalies or even recommend how to improve your golf game.
Derick Linkous Derick has been developing software for two decades. He is a Clean Code evangelist, a .NET/SQL specialist, and an AWS enthusiast.
Kip Streithorst Kip Streithorst is a Senior Software Engineer working for Applied Information Sciences in Raleigh. He spends most of his day working on Web applications, specifically the ASP.NET stack along with Azure. When not programming, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Everett McKay Everett McKay is Principal of UX Design Edge and a UX design trainer and consultant with global clientele. Everett’s specialty is finding practical, intuitive, simple, highly usable solutions quickly for web, mobile, and desktop applications. Everett has over 30 years’ experience in user interface design and has delivered UX design workshops to an international audience that includes Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. Previously Everett was a program manager at Microsoft Corporation on the Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows Server teams, and was responsible for managing, writing, and evangelizing the Windows User Experience Interaction Guidelines. This role enabled Everett to develop expertise across a wide range of user experience specialties and act as an in-house consultant to help teams across the company do their best work. Before joining Microsoft, Everett was a software developer, specializing in designing and developing Windows and Macintosh user interfaces.
Annie Kiley Annie Kiley currently works as a backend developer at Viget, a digital agency in Durham. When she's not programming, she can be found playing trivia or reading.
